COMFORT EATING

A recent survey reported by the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3590086.stm) states that 43 percent of the nation use food to alter their mood. This figure is moving towards the estimated 61 percent of USA citizens who “eat emotionally”. (Notice the subtle difference in the words: In the UK, “comfort eating” describes what the North Americans call “emotional eating” - in truth “emotional eating” does get to the point much more succinctly!)
People who succumb to “comfort eating”—overeating to compensate for some other emotional problem—experience feelings of self-loathing, lowered self-esteem and self-worth, and a deep sense of failure. These commonly felt feelings are often accompanied by lack of weight control, which in turn can often lead to a lowering of self-confidence—and the circle continues.

If you are sick and tired of the diet merry-go-round, it is time to take positive action to leave diets and comfort eating behind. The workshops are limited to just 5 places each session which are held at my home. Each member gets to go one-to-one with Colin Winston at least once within the course of regular attendance.
Food allergy testing forms part of these workshops. I will test and then show you what foods you should avoid. This happens around the third or maybe fourth week of attendance, depending on your progress.
